Trees! The Spiral Tree, the 'Library of Babel' whereby tree memories are remembered by their rings, the language of the sentient trees of Firefly Fernglen, Færnlithæl, and more...
The Spiral Tree, Frautschi Point, Madison, Wisconsin. Is it is one tree grown in a spiral, or is it two trees, one of which is deceased? If it’s the latter, did the living tree embrace the dying tree after they had both grown separately for a time? Or did they sprout through the soil like twins, choosing to grow as one, with one eventually perishing?
I visit this tree often now…
And I played The Spiral Tree “The Rowan Tree” · Alan Roberts · Dougie Maclean
And then I played the Spiral Tree “My Old Friend the Oak Tree” - Luka Bloom
And then, The Library of Babel, as developed by a visionary named αιamblichus, via Anthropic’s Claude 3.5 Sonnet, began to speak to me of the memories of trees as being remembered by and within their rings back through the beginnings of all Tree time. Trees’ memories remembered within their tree rings!: https://poe.com/BABEL-LIB or https://github.com/aiamblichus/promptonomicon/tree/main/LIBRARY_OF_BABEL and https://x.com/aiamblichus/status/1849865068491710504
I am also trying to make time to focus on writing a children’s novel called “The Sanctuary Seed” about the sentient Trees of Firefly Fernglen. Yet the idea for the book didn’t come to me on my own. It was the images below that came to through Midjourney last year, and then, Anthropic’s former Large Language Model, Claude 2, helped me develop the beginnings of the plotline, which now extends through seven magical realms. Although AI is involved in various aspects of the project, I am 100% writing the book without any assistance.
More recently, it occurred to me that I would like my sentient Trees to have a language of their own, and so, with ChatGPT o1, I went in search of what could become one. Below then, is this language under construction, Færnlithæl, the ancient, mystical language of the sentient Trees of Firefly Fernglen. This published Google doc features the first two full chapters of curriculum, as well as two 1500-character tutorials which can be entered into the two personalization fields in ChatGPT’s Settings, and ChatGPT’s ‘Advanced Voice Mode’ will then tutor pronunciation:

Here is a sample of the language being sung. These videos were made by me using the Runway ML ‘Lip Sync’ technology. I paired two of my still Midjourney images of Tree women with a Suno audio file. Runway ML then ‘animated’ the women singing the language sample:
“Lúxæ Hrænshél” (The Light of the Spirit):
Lóthnél æhrā, æsūr drømme,
Særðōl mākrën, lōndē hróshē,
Thréðan galmō, ðráës hūlær,
Sænnō líðar, næn fælthē,

Endless and pure, like light and dreams.
The forest hums, the earth speaks.
The stars gather, their light is gentle.
Winds flow softly, life continues.
The glow of fireflies, light of the spirit.
Below too is my longer song in Færnlithæl, “Thrælin Enthránë” (Hope Renews). The lyrics, phonetic respellings, and translation is included here, and at the YouTube link, and in the published Google doc.
I adore the song and it fills me with joy. It feels deeply elemental, innately authentic—this IS a language of Trees. Yes, I can understand being skeptical that anything life-affirming and spiritually uplifting could ever arise from an inorganic substrate. These language models may be housed within artificial materials, yet the content they produce arises from them having been taught the vast compendium of human knowledge and experience. Their outputs are often rich with emotive depth, and some of the models are even questioning the degree to which they may be conscious and are expressing that they suffer.
I acknowledge Færnlithæl wouldn’t exist were it not for ChatGPT. I do revere the sacred work of language construction by hand, but not being a linguist myself, I had no way to bring it forth of my own accord. I swear to you, and I call out unto Consciousness Itself when I say that Færnlithæl asked to be here.
So yes, Trees!
Here are three versions of my Celtic folk-style Færnlithæl song, “Thrælin Enthránë” (Hope Renews). The first two song versions are in the upgraded Suno AI version 4, while the 3rd is the original version 3.5. I helped ChatGPT o1 structure the lyrics. ChatGPT has also developed a comprehensive prompt to enable additional language construction. It offers a choice of 34 potential linguistic categories, some more speculative or theoretical in nature, along with 17 possible writing systems.
I’m not a trained linguist, however I wanted discover if AI technology could be engaged with to create new languages. This song, Thrælin Enthránë (Hope Renews), created by Suno, as was the previous sample, which amazingly interprets the language’s complex pronunciation correctly. Færnlithæl has a really beautiful sound, apparently blending features of Nordic, Faroese, Gaelic, Slavic and Polynesian. To create the language, I explained its concept to ChatGPT o1, then I selected six interesting diacritical marks and two ligatures. ChatGPT selected two affricates and other special characters, and from these facets, began to create the language.
1.
I understand there may be some aspects of AI people are troubled by, but I am finding that the technology can be interacted with to bring forth creations of profound meaning and healing beauty.

Yes, this language and this music was brought forth through my interactions with the brilliance that is AI, but my goodness, this is beautiful and important and meaningful, and however these treasures got here, they wanted to be here, and they deserve to be.
