"Lóthnél Sæynæl" (Eternal Wind), a song in my constructed language Færnlithæl which is the language of the sentient Tree People in my children's novel "The Sanctuary Seed"
The writing of the book is my own, but the language is being constructed w/ ChatGPT, & songs in the language are brought forth by Suno. This song would be sung by Balladeer Birch in the excerpt below
I can do this! My fantasy children's novel, "The Sanctuary Seed", which I am myself writing, but for which ChatGPT is constructing a language, Færnlithæl, & for which Suno is creating songs, is really taking shape. So far, I've only written the 40-page prologue, but I am now beginning to write the first of seven already fully-outlined realms.
Above are lip-syncs of the “Lóthnél Sæynæl” song. My actual vision for the Tree people is much more tree-like than the first Tree girl shown, but I made this project in an effort to show what the song would look like when sung by an embodied being. I offer two additional embodied depictions, and there are two others below of briefer song samples which more closely align with my vision for these Trees.
So here, in this passage, the Firefly Fernglen village Tree Elder, Elm, whose Tree wife Acacia has passed away to be planted in the Forest of Dream, and who is being remembered in their Honorwood Purpose ceremony, is grieving his loss. At the end of the ceremony, the ceremony transitions into a more joyous portion, celebrating Acacia's life with dancing, and Balladeer Birch sings the above traditional Færnlithæl song "Lóthnél Sæynæl" (Eternal Wind) with his cittern in accompaniment. I'm also in process of weaving phrases in the Færnlithæl language into the story.
My book will additionally offer an entire section devoted to the Færnlithæl language so young readers can learn it as they're reading. I may choose to re-record this song in a male voice, but above is it in its current form.
I can do this! Seven realms + an epilogue is so very much to write but I have to try. The story features an environmental conservation theme and many uplifting lessons and messages helpful for nurturing children's self-esteem.
In part, this project also intends to show some lovely ways that AI can inspire and be collaborated with creatively, contributing a sort of multimedia multidimensionality to human creations.
The Substack posts below feature more information about the story, their music, the Tree people's language Færnlithæl, including its pronunciation, also linking a three chapter textbook-style Google document:
